Planted in Purpose: The Story of G&G’s Fry Co.

G&G’s Fry Co. began in August 2022 as a simple idea rooted in faith and a desire to create something meaningful. We didn’t have investors or a roadmap — just a vision, a prayer, and the determination to bring something fresh to our community. We knew we wanted to start a food truck, but we also understood the crowded nature of the food space. So instead of following what everyone else was doing, we focused on what people didn’t have and what we could do well.

That question became the foundation of everything we’ve built. Our focus wasn’t on chasing trends; it was on creating something familiar yet different — food that brings people together. Our top sellers, the Philly Cheesesteak Fries, Buffalo Chicken Fries, and Chicken Bacon Ranch Fries, quickly became customer favorites because they’re simple, bold, and made with intention.

Built, Not Given

We built this business from scratch with no investors, no big breaks, just hard work, long nights, and the belief that small beginnings still have big power, especially with God leading it. Every step, every setup, and every service window has been guided by purpose and prayer.

We now serve thousands of fans and students every week at the University of Mississippi and surrounding events. Our food connects people from all walks of life, and that’s what keeps us going. Through this business, we’ve also been able to create jobs and opportunities for over twenty employees each semester, which is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do. Seeing young people grow, take ownership, and gain experience through our business reminds us that impact isn’t just about sales; it’s about people.

The Process and the Purpose

Running a food truck takes focus and consistency. It’s planning, preparing, and showing up with excellence every day. From prepping fresh ingredients to serving our customers with a smile, we’ve learned that purpose shows up in the small things. When you do the small things well, God handles the big things.

We’ve seen how a plate of fries can spark conversations, how good service can shift someone’s mood, and how consistency builds trust. For us, being planted in purpose means being rooted in God — knowing that when He plants something, He provides everything needed for it to grow.

Rooted in God, Growing in Grace

As we grow, our goal isn’t just expansion; it’s impact. We want G&G’s Fry Co. to remind people that you can start small, stay faithful, and still build something powerful. Every decision we make, from our menu to our team culture, comes back to that same truth: we’re not just running a business; we’re walking in God’s plan.

Because when God plants it, your only job is to keep watering it.
